The purpose of the Occupational English Test, or OET, is to meet the specific English language requirements of the healthcare sector. In the event that medical professionals decide to work in an English-speaking location, it evaluates their language competency. Exams covering speaking and writing in twelve different healthcare sectors cover all four language skill levels. Every applicant receives the reading and listening examinations in the same manner.This exam is designed for medical professionals who want to study or work overseas and need to demonstrate English language ability. The Occupational English Test (OET) can only be administered by 12 healthcare departments: Occupational Therapy, Dentistry, Nursing, Radiography, Veterinary Science, Medicine, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy, Dietetics, Podiatry, Pharmacy, and Optometry. OET is the greatest choice if you want to pursue your ambition of being a successful nurse in Australia. There are three types of OET examination :
The OET is required of medical professionals who want to train or work in the healthcare sector in Namibia, the US, Singapore, Dubai, Australia, New Zealand, or the UK. Taking into account that some of these nations fully recognize the OET test.
The Full OET Test, which consists of four subtests: Speaking, Reading, Writing, and Listening, costs AU$587 (or US$455 for OET@Home and OET on a Computer at a venue in the US). For OET on Paper, individual subtests can be reserved at a reduced fee at a location. At most of our locations worldwide, you can schedule individual sub-tests for OET on Paper (This option is not available in the USA). The costs are as follows (AU$7 for online reservations included):
One subtest: AU$315. Two auxiliary tests: AU$415. Three smaller tests: AU$515.
Note: You can only select this Subtest option if you have already completed the full OET Test. Make sure the organization you will be sharing your results with accepts scores from individual sub-tests or less than a full test before scheduling any individual sub-tests.
